Saturday 7th April McKillops Bridge to Thredbo Mt Kosciusko National Park

Part way up the 4wd track overlooking the valley

We packed up at a leisurely pace and crossed the Snowy River at McKillops Bridge. It was a large bridge with great views of the National Park and the river. We were keen to test out the car so we decided to go for a 4wd with out the trailer. We parked the trailer and locked it up and took off on the northerly part of the Deddick Trail. Talk about rocky and steep. It was a bit of a challenge! Ed was relieved when we had finished it and the bash plate on the car had a bit of a workout!
On the way back down!
We picked up the trailer and decided to head for Jindabyne and Thredbo. It was a bit of a drive along some steep, hilly terrain. We came to Jindabyne and we saw a beautiful blue lake. We followed the road up to Thredbo and camped at the second campsite called Ngarigo. We camped there next to a family from Orange (Tim, Louise & their kids Tory, Sebastian and Hunter) and they kindly shared their fire with us (Thank God). It was a very cold night. I have never been so cold - I couldn't get warm!
