We took off after a leisurely breakie and explored the coast. As we took the gravel road we had the misfortune of being pushed off to the side of the road by another driver on a mobile phone. We must of hit something and it shredded our tyre! Ed was not amused!
Ed changed the tyre and we moved onto Green Point. The campsite was just up from the beach. We set up and then went down to the beach. By this time it was starting to get a bit cool , but as usual the kids did not feel it and we went to explore. Olivia found a beautiful red starfish which was the best find of the day.
The kids made friends with Grace and Nicholas who were on a holiday around Australia also. They were from Abbey WA! It was a bit cold but I braved a cold outdoor shower on the beach before dinner. The wind started to pick up and we had a bad night with 70km/hr winds which were not fun. We packed up early, as it began to rain, and headed back to Burnie to replace our tyre. We then continued on down to Corina in the west. We travelled a road full of hairpin bends and beautiful scenery before descending down into Corina. It was beautiful but very wet! We enjoyed hot showers and a meal in the cafe. Happy days!
